Teachers:
I let the blog go for awhile because our new network filter was blocking it. So I am reviving it.
Look to the left...you will see important links to websites.
I will add more through the year.
Hope everyone has a wonderful 2016-2017 School year.

Canvas Help
Cameron Case at Hazel Green High School with the help of a few others from other school have put together to Canvas help Videos.
How to make one assignment for a course that auto-publishes at different times for different sections . . . in fact, you could do this on a per-student basis if you wanted to.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-D0lTCZ5zI
If you want to load a YouTube video to Canvas...
Here is a tip Cameron got from Emily and shared with HGES and LFES so far. It lets you put YouTube videos in Canvas without the iBoss filter giving you trouble.

Be aware that this is not automated. Cameron doesn't think this is THE solution, but it is A solution. If you don't mind the download/upload process, this works pretty well.

Tech Tuesday: A little early or a little late
I haven't been updating the blog as regularly as before. I'm sorry. I've been in a bit of an information overload.
I was cleaning out my email (as some of you may need to do as well!) and found an email from Janet Slaughter about Common Core Resources(a.k.a. CCRS) If you are like me you tend to forget all the resources that we have. Below is the link to a Smore Newsletter that she did on Jan. 2, 2014

Tech Tuesday: Independent Thinking
I don't know about you, but my students struggle with independent thinking. This really isn't about technology, but I thought it was useful. Click the link below.

Also, only 18 teachers have completed the Speak Up Survey. The link is to the left at the top. Please look below for the directions and complete the survey. We will use the results to create a technology plan for the 2014-2015 school year.

Tech Tuesday: Open Ed...Common Core Resource
There is another Common Core resource that has so many things to help teachers. I think this site is worth you time!
http://www.opened.io/#/search/standard_groups
I like this site because it is organized in a way that you can get to the standards by grade and it gives you different resources per standard per grade. Most of the resources are videos or podcasts. If you use Edmodo you could link to a site that you want your students to see or use.
You can do so much with this!!!
